Trump renounces humanity's shared future in favor of America's golden age

Much was justly made of the President of the United States and his sycophants deliberately redefining and restricting free speech in the wake of a conservative political activist’s murder and subsequent silencing of a late night talk show host over a joke.
This week (and month), the United Nations is convening its annual General Assembly, now in its 80th year.
Leaders from around the world have spoken and will speak in what American leadership believes to be a failed effort to “confront complex global challenges" and to shape humanity’s “shared future.”
Prior to the first Trump administration, all 193 United Nations Member States adopted the sustainable development goals (SDGs) “to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.” This month marks the SDGs’ 10th anniversary.
If there was even a shred of doubt remaining that Donald Trump would in any way continue the old world order, he buried it yesterday in his address to the United Nations.
